Rendo Renascor is a home for projects and writing across the humanities, computing and engineering. It brings together things I build, study and investigate, from language and software to mathematics, infrastructure and the points where those subjects meet.
The subjects may look quite different at first, but I tend to approach them in much the same way: I want to understand what is actually going on, get the structure clear, then build from there. That might become an article or a piece of software. Occasionally it becomes a project that keeps growing long after I thought it would be done.
I keep work in progress here as well as finished pieces. The unfinished parts are often where the useful decisions are, and I’d rather not polish away the route that got me there.

Who I am

Hi there! I’m Jasper, a civil engineering student in the Netherlands with longstanding interests in language, mathematics, computing and the classical world. Rendo Renascor is where I bring those interests together and give longer-running projects a proper home.
I use this site to document what I build, publish what I learn and keep useful work accessible rather than letting it disappear into a folder on my computer. You can find much of my software and open-source work on my GitHub 🛠.
This website is also one of those projects. This is how I made it.
